Right or wrong, society views child
abuse sex crimes differently from any other type of crime.
The allegation alone can ruin your
reputation, job, and liberty. Oftentimes, society treats one
accused of a sex crime as “guilty, until proven innocent.” If
you or a loved one has been contacted by Children's Protective
Services, or feel that you or a loved one may be contacted
soon, contact our
office immediately.

Our
office has had years of experience battling against Children’s
Protective Services.
If you have been accused of a sex crime such as child sexual
abuse, an investigator for Children's Protective Services will
more than
likely show up at your doorstep. This investigator wants to
interview you without advising you of the charges or the nature
of the allegations.
You are not informed of your rights, and usually, they will
come across as friendly and on your side to supposedly get “your
side of the story.”
However, this is an important part of their investigation. It is
not designed to help you clear your name, but rather to accumulate
information against you that can assist in a criminal prosecution.
No interview should be conducted without your attorney. That is why
contacting an attorney immediately is so important.
Additionally, the investigator for Children's Protective Services
will interview the child, if the child is old enough. After their
investigation is complete, the police are then notified.
